Still no joy. Cleared the code and it comes up with the same message. Requirements for output tests not met.

Could be a faulty pump motor then, have a look at this page:

Cheers STP I will hopefully get to have a look at it tomorrow and try and Check for voltages and grounds at the ABS plug. Re-check fuses etc.

Does anyone know the correct fuse locations for the ABS pump for a 2009 1.9 tdi bls by any chance? Just incase I have foolishly misplaced one when I have checked them. I don’t think I have, but just incase, it would be nice to rule it out?

As far as I know it's 4 and 25 mate, 4 for the controller and 25 for the pump. RHS. Hope this helps.

I dont have a fuse at number 4 but I am measuring 12.01 on a red/blue wire and 12.05 on a black/white wire. 2.58 volts on an orange/black wire and 2.4 on an orange wire
I also have a continuity reading between battery negative and a thick brown wire on the abs plug

SB04 and SB25 are needed according to my PDF for a later ABS unit.

Pretty sure you will need a fuse in pos. 04

Just had a look in my 2016 2.0 tdi and that has a 20amp at position No:4 I would have thought that if I had mis-positioned a 20 amp one then it would at least be in that area. I may just have to try one and see what happens.

I would, it's needed for the controller and would explain why it won't do the pump test. In your picture you can see it's missing.

Zoomed in, you can see it has terminals so it's not a dummy position. It's meant to have a fuse.

Fuse holder B SB1 and SB2 both 30Amp seem to be for ABS on a 2009. SB4 5Amp controls the Onboard supply control unit J519, so there should be a fuse there.

So going by that layout, I am missing two 30 amps and a 5amp. There’s only 2 parties who have access under my bonnet. Me and the garage where it was last MOT’d. Interesting 🤔
