Re: What did you do to your van today?
Well took the punt on a new hex-v2 Ross-Tech lead as the one I borrow is I think a copy ,as that was£50 off flea bay, so had my golf Gti mk6 seats for a while and never really noticed they were heated , had some looms made bye Stan the man and I must say superb quality and fit a treat made easy from a how to that comes with them , got the seat heater control from my local breakers at £20 wired and activated heated seats and job done , now for door exit lights , I believe it is changing a code so that’s another new step , got all the interior out so I’m going to re wire my reverse camera , install a sub and some vibe 6x9s another new thing , fog lights , auto lights , wish me luck
Golf mk6 seats,Touran rear seats,carpet,console,2017 caddy life mfsw,Audi s3air vents, passsat w8 interior light, golf mk6gttdi wheels, rear barn door spoiler , rns 510 head unit , revers camera, boarded and carpeted rear with led strip lights, mk4 rear lights .

I'm actually quite impressed, they look pretty Good. Loads brighter (i can actually see the wigan potholes before i plow into them now) and it looks so much better than the standard lamps. £22 from euro car parts, no complaints here.

Hoping to have the back finished tomorrow. I’ve done the sound deadening and carpeted the ply. Going to carpet the exposed metal tomorrow and fit the insulation, then put the floor and ply in! Bleddy cains your knees haha

That’s looking good Mike.
Have you had a chance to see how much difference it makes to noise?

Cheers. It’s gone from a tin sound to a thud. Not driven yet while I build it though! Tbh I had so much stuff in there before it wasn’t that (road) noisy in the back.sajseven wrote:That’s looking good Mike.

Got some highline clocks , Cruse control stalk ,control module and leather multi function wheel installed and coded in today ,
The guy knew his stuff and got it done in 2 hours with me chatting to him picking up info through the process ,
Cruse control is awesome! And it's great to finally have a temp gauge!

What did you do to your van today?
Managed to duck and dive today from the mrs family and finish off my van. Couple of very small bits left to do but all but done took a bit longer than I thought it would, but it’s quite difficult to work in a car park away from my house chuffed with how it looks now compared to how it was before
