Where did you get the door seals Chis? I fitted some generic ones but would get the real deal if possible.

D866 from LLL Parts.

Part numbers

Volkswagen Door Seal, Outer 2K0837701, left hand side

Volkswagen Door Seal, Outer 2K0837702, right hand side.

£48.53 for the left hand side, I assume the same for the right hand side.

Delivery was almost as expensive at £31.31! Best to wait until you need a few bits!

stu_b the factory panels are ~2.6mm thick, with carpet about 4.5mm

@philsparky thank mate, hard to imagine someone cutting / making a piece of wood 0.6mm thick (2.6mm)
you almost double it with carpet
I am thinking to use thicker ply so I an mount stuff on it

cheers for the answer

I only used the original panels so the genuine handle surround would "fit", I had to fettle it to take into account the carpet thickness too

I think I would either have to router out the thicker panel or opt for the less attractive / non oem looking lanyard version or similar
If I was to router it out then the whole handle would probably sit flush if not countersunk

@Stu_b I used 6mm (I think) ply on my rear door, plus carpet. Couldn’t get the handle to sit right and get the full movement on it. Also, the trim wouldn’t fit around it. Ended up mounting the handle behind the ply. It works, but doesn’t look quite as good .Image

Today I ordered stereo upgrade for my Caddy Maxi 2017.
I got my Caddy yesterday and I am not impressed by the sound quality.. :P

The stereo package includes GAS MAX S1-6D1 subwoofer with case specially made for Caddy. And a Match M 5.4DSP amplifier.

Can't wait to hear the difference! :D

Had to re-pin the chassis side of the Lambda sensor plug as the 1.6 and 2.0 are slightly different, then got the front suspension rebuilt and got the van back on it's wheels! :D Then drove it all of 15 ft  . All that's left to do is fit the two new ABS sensors to the rear and it's MOT time.

What do you call those collapsible hinges that you've fixed to the door?
