Doc I like that! But not for me.

My problem is I can’t walk past a good deal…

@ Doc, I’ve never seen the caddy before, I have seen the baby blue golf, it was a max power cover car from years ago.

Sounds like a worthwhile project Colin. A decent recon will guarantee reliability for many years to come.

Pretty sure the Golf was done at Dubsport up near me in Wigan. He’s done a few, he did the green mk1 as well that was plastered all over max power magizine and I had the poster on my wall as a young teenager 😂. Dubsport has long since gone though.

Was that the baby blue one Dean? I’m pretty sure I saw that on the road up my way a few times back in the day. I heard it before I saw it if it was the same one, never got a chance to catch up to see as I was in a 1.1 Saxo at the time!

Theres was a mk3 baby blue golf and I think there was also a mk2 that started out as baby blue before getting sprayed mint green. There was also an orange mk1 but I’m not sure if he was responsible for that. Some great looking cars back in the day but apparently they handled like pigs 😂

Picked up a little winter refurb project :D. I know they need adaptors but I'll sort them when the wheels are ready to fit.

@ DeanWhit yeah I suppose putting all that horsepower and weight into an old chassis would cause a few issues. I bet none of them were daily drivers

Hi guys sorry it been awhileImage
Recently purchased another mk3 caddy couldn't resist it and always knew I would end up with another caddy....

Just finished installing new coilover kit and 19" wheels today..

Got a good few mods to get going with so you will see a good bit of damo2k againImageImageImageImage

Ordered a clutch switch, checked the powersteering and brake fluid and topped up the washers.
Got to check tyre pressure in a while once tesco starts to become less busy.
Was rammed earlier on

Haven’t used it for a week so just gave it a good 60 mile run up the motorway. I always forget how much I enjoy driving it.

Purchase of a decommissioned Golf 5 gti steering wheel.
I will remove the leather and mold the structure of the hoop in order to reproduce it on a Golf 7 steering wheel.

Looks like a nice van you’ve picked up there @Damo2k. What are your plans for this one?
