Still got a few problems with my Golf R clocks talking to my ABS. Anyone know if the latter caddis have ESP. The clocks won't talk to my non ESP MK70 ABS controller, so might have to upgrade it to a MK60 from a Golf. It works fine with the standard TDI clocks, but the Rev counter doesn't have the scale needed :D

Well as if I hadn't done enough wiring! Next I'm gonna try and retrofit ESP into the caddy! Just so I can have golf R dials!

Got an old MK70 unit that I have sawn in half to get the socket out off! Got the MK60 plug from the GTI loom so will attempt to make a conversion lead just to test that I can even get it to work, before I actually cut more of the loom around...

to get R cluster you no need MK60EC1
Mk70 young is good

You can go ahed do a strigh connection from MK70 to Mk60EC1
Lot of people do this here , all is fine

Really? How do you code MK70 to work with GolF R cluster and TFSI engine?

Think I've finished the ABS/ESP Mk70 to MK60 conversion adaptor. Just need a gap in the weather to test it.

Test fitted the MK60EC1 ESP unit which is replacing the standard MK70 traction control only unit. It appear in VCDS ok, have a few calibration faults that I can't get rid of untill I actually plumb it up.

Only problem is I'm back to the coding issue again. The original soft coding of the unit did originally show up. But now it has just changed all the bytes to 0 and comes up with control module not coded. Think this is going to be my next headache as I don't think it is straight forward for the coding, especially as modules are all mix and match.

MK60EC1 is linked to your immobiliser.
If it doesn't match the chassis number in your immobiliser, the coding will revert to all zeros.

I have the list of bytes somewhere, it involves brake disc sizes, engine size/output, etc. etc.

Don't think a gateway ever has a VIN programmed in?
Email me your VIN, current ABS coding and a full autoscan and I'll try put together a code for your ABS module.
