Their's will be a trailing arm that attaches to original front leaf mounting point and uses stock rear axle and a watts linkage to stop any sway. It's also been thoroughly designed on cad to give the best compromise of how low it goes and drives - bag placement was critical here - and also doesn't require any cutting of the original chassis so it can go back to stock in the future. It's the system I'm using and feels just like a really good coilover setup and the axle is rock solid with no sideways movement at all.

4 bar rear linkage

Dan is this a design you own or the guys who installed your rear end?
It a route I'm considering but I didn't think there was space for watts link without moving the fuel tank and making chassis mods.

Dan I'd love to see some pictures. They always seem to be hard to get due to protecting the design.

Winst design is slightly different - more of a fixed rear beam than a 4 link or 2 link system.
Simple but effective though.

I have got photos but wanted to protect Intermotiv's design. Jonathan spent ages designing and testing in cad even simulating driving loads on the parts so he could over engineer everything and very carefully selected the strengths of the materials he used. It would be easy to copy the design but not necessarily to do it properly. My watts linkage is attached to a special frame that sits above the axle. Again, it took quite a while to get this positioning correct, along with the bag mounts, to get it all to work in harmony and so it didn't require any modifications to the chassis.

4 bar rear linkage

Sounds very good quality.
Do you know if they sell it as a kit without the other air suspension parts?

Edit
To answer my own question - they do its £1,145 inc vat.

If you search "caddy" on the website, highest price first, they do a full kit, just need to choose tank and compressor sizes

What size tank and what compressor are you using?

Thanks for the inspiration!

Great site that...if I had the money I would have them develop a trailing arm and watts linkage with coil springs instead of air bag for me

I'm currently using a pair of viair 480 compressors and a 5 gallon tank with 3/8s lines.

Dan do you know what bags come with the rear kit. I have a pair of mk5 bags so would save some money on the kit if I could use theses.
Think I'm gonna ring them tomoz.
