Can anyone help with this one?
Pairing my Samsung S8 to the head unit in my 14 plate Caddy, works fine upon first use, Bluetooth Audio plays through the head unit and track data shown on the touch screen.
After power down, locking, then return and power back up, the audio no longer plays through the head unit it comes out of the phone, but track data is still shown on the touch screen. The telephone still works perfectly with audio as expected.
I've tried un pairing and redoing a few times, each one with the same outcome.
So annoying....

Re: Bluetooth Audio issues
Had the same issue with mine... after lots of mucking about I've worked that if you do the following; it'll work 99% of the time.
- start with Bluetooth switch off on the S8
- start the van with the stereo switched off
- activate Bluetooth on the phone and connect to the van, it'll then connect enabling calls and media audio.
- switch stereo on, and away you go..
I've found that if you don't connect in this sequence then the phone will connect, but only for calls and not audio. Not sure if this is a qerk of the Samsung handset or the head unit itself...
Hope that helps.

Re: Bluetooth Audio issues
I think you can add the caddy as a trusted device on the phone so you don't need to keep pairing it. On my s20 ultra it just works when I get in.
2016 Starlight blue highline 2.0 tdi - stainless side bars - DubUnit remap 190 bhp ish - st x lowering kit - golf R cadiz 18" wheels - rear wiper delete - ProVan600 interior led light - red painted calipers - Kenwood headunit - sequential side repeaters - vcds hex net pro

Re: Bluetooth Audio issues
I give up....!
Tried everything in every way I can think of, it's really easy to get the S8 to pair with the Caddy and then play audio via Bluetooth, the problem starts on the next attempt to use the blue tooth, the 'MFD' display on the dash shows the icons for phone battery, signal strength and also an image of an MP3 / iPod player, the metadata of the track playing on the phone is shown on the stereo's display and you can fully control the audio as well skip forward / backwards etc, but the audio comes out of the phone and not the car stereo, the volume control when turned doesn't change either. So any other thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: Bluetooth Audio issues
Hi,
This usually happens because media audio isn’t switching back to the car after reconnect. Calls work, but music stays on the phone.
Try this:
On your Samsung Galaxy S8 → Bluetooth → tap your car → make sure Media audio is ON
After connecting, manually select the car as audio output
Remove the device from both phone & car, then pair again
If it still does it, check the head unit settings—some default to calls only after reconnect.
