Are those the sport cats?
Will you be using 02 sensors?

Thinking of going down that route as standard exhaust with cats and sensors are stupid money but just afraid it gonna be unbearably loud
Also going to do an sai delete get rid of most of the pipe work..

Hi mate, yes sports cats, I’m not yet convinced they will be any good but like you I can’t find any decent oem ones for sensible money. I’ve got some cats off of a mk4 R32 so may modify these to fit some 2.5inch down pipes if (like I suspect) they bring the eml light on.

Would love to hear yours up and running

Are you going to use your caddy abs unit,?

I have with my setup an a3 3.2 ecu with immobiliser off.

Hearing there could be some issues with caddy abs and audi ecu

That’s looking good, love the red. Wondering if I should have gone for a different colour🤔Takes forever to prep though doesn’t it 😆
I used some rust converter on my engine block but your engine looks a lot cleaner than mine. Keep up the good work 👍

Yea lot of prep alright but worth it tho I think..

Most of the red will be covered by the intake manifold anyways so I wouldn't be to worried
Are you not running any exhaust sensors on your build mate?

Hi mate, yes I’m running all 4 02 sensors but I don’t think they will like the sports cats but it will get me up and running for now ☺️

3.2 v6 DSG conversion

Post by Pineapple1984 »

Hi mate,
I just went on Erwin and paid something like 7 euros and printed out the wiring diagram for pretty much everything for an Audi a3 with the correct engine code and gearbox code and done the same for my caddy with the addition of 02E diagrams
Then it’s just a matter of time studying every diagram and make notes and work out how you’re going to cross reference the two vehicles. Its relatively straight forward once you get your head around it but I have spent approx 10 hours physically on the wiring from the donor car which is already removed and not yet where I want to be with it and who knows how many hours studying diagrams before.ImageI’m really limited on time at the minute so just wiring nothing too exciting ImageImage
Oh! And took the dash out. Figured I’ve come this far may as well put a touran v3 dash in ImageImage
Also got a heated seat wiring loom for my mk6 Golf leather seats that I have to go in.

Thanks Lister, I’ve read through your build thread last month before starting mine. Amazing job! I have no idea how you keep it so clean 🤔😀

Thanks. it’s all smoke and mirrors, it doesn’t always look like the photos on here. It takes a lot of effort and time prepping for shows.
