Cheers mate, have probably spent 20+ hours on the paint alone. Needs about another 10 to get it where I want it to be...

I finally feel today it's where i'm not embarrassed to drive it! haha

Spent some more time on her lately..

1st is 'operation MPG' so a full service (all the filters) and gutted the cat..

cat off and cut open:

smashing out the gubbins..

all finished!

all welded up she was back on the van.. not too bad a job apart from the V Band clamp being a bit stubborn. Turbo seems to spool up earlier now, and engine seems much happier - not tonnes more power but this and a service seems to have got the MPG +10% as an early guess.

Picked up and fitted some early christmas pressies tonight in the form of some R32 3 door seats. Modded the caddy consoles as I like to sit low. Very pleased - and they match my R32 wheel! Massive comfort and cabin ambiance improvement!

a few more 'arty' (with fisheye lens) from when i'd re polished it the other day and it was sunny..

Can't wait until spring to get the coilies and some decent wheels on it!

Woww loving your van mate!! you have some serious patience! I see you have decatted her, im just wondering does this make the van louder and can you hear the lethargic dump valve noise after the mod! My van is seriously bad on fuel but i cant stand the noise i hear alot of golfs making! (sounds like a bath fart)
