Are these tie down points in the rear of every caddy? Mine has a floor laid in it so I can only see the rear most two on the raised plastic panel. I'm looking to start transporting my motorbike in the back of my Maxi so need some tie down points further forward too.

All Maxis should have the bolt holes. So you only need the Tie downs and bolts.

i got them from TPS

now i have twin sliding doors on mine so the parts i ordered were

(these are the caps left and right)
and then
2K0867300B these are the fixing clips and you need 8

I purchased a full service kit ready for next week, a 5L tub of brake cleaner to suit the cleaning, and some R32 brakes for the van as it was cheaper than new calipers and discs.

Man math ftw!

I ordered BG maxi leaf springs for my maxi life. Regularly take 400-600kg loads as a window cleaner, and current "comfort springs" not upto task. Also ordered a set of Bilstein B6 shocks for the rear as mine are shot. But as I was driving along I heard a nasty "twang" and a "donk" and pulled over to find half of the top coil of my passenger front coil spring in the road... *sigh*
Dunno what springs to order for standard height suspension?

Also fitted a RCD360 3S from Maxcom, still gotta work out how to get the wireless android auto working though.

Made a bike rack to go inside of my SWB MK4 caddy.

Only just picked up the van last week so haven’t gotten around to taking out the bulkhead or ply/carpet lining the back but it’s on my list to do. If anyone wants the dimensions of the cuts for the timber let me know 🙂

It can either have just my bike in diagonally without having to take the wheels off, or I can put two bikes in top and tail with the front wheels off and the fork axles clamped with a seasucker HUSKE mount.

One of the wheel racks for the front wheels is on a swivel mount so I can either run it diagonally when it’s just me or parallel with the side behind the drivers seat when it’s 2 bikes in there.

Whole thing cost me about £100 to do - £80 for the fork mounts, £10 for the swivel plate and £10 for the timber and hardware.

Also fitted an auto headlight switch upgrade, next on my list is finding some brighter lamps for the halogen headlights / DRL’s.

Here’s some pics of the bike rack - not sure how to embed - sorry!
