CADDY.D

Post by CADDY.D »

This is my wee caddy.I bought it new in apr 2007 and it now has 18k on the clock.
I have had it re-mapped to 140ish.Which is loads.
I dont carry much in the back except the hound.
Wheels are 18'' RS6's,leccy pack and rear tints.Over the winter months i intend to purchase(santa)the roof spoiler and side bars but i haven't seen any on the roads or showrooms to get a better idea of what they are like.
UPDATED PICTURES with sidebars and roof spoiler and colour coded mirrors.

Santa has come early!!!

I have just ordered side bars and roof spoiler for van.
Rang a few dealers to get a good price but they are all much the same.
£170 for the spoiler and £290 for side bars. The spoiler is available in tornado red(sportline colour)so i wont need to get it sprayed. Will pick them up on tues but might wait a while before i fit them.

Collected the roof spoiler and sidebars today and decided to put them on this evening.
Not a big task, but dont like drilling 20mm holes in the rear doors.
Didn't get any good shots of sidebars(no room in the garage)but should get more pics this weekend outside in daylight.

Are they the genuine VW bars?

They are vw ones.50mm chrome finished.
These are the brackets which are bolted to the body using u-bolts in origional holes.Just pull out the bungs and slide in the u-bolt.
The side bars are then bolted to the bracket at the end of the bend using M10 bolts.

£170 was that the spoiler painted to? as i believe the silver caddy i'm collecting in a few weeks is the same as the sportline.

Side bars look the nuts thats one of my mods on the list.
