Hi simon, yep I got the seats wired up, I just took a positive feed from the cigarette lighter, ive had the kit in 6 months and not a hint of bother yet, worth every penny in my eyes

haven't had the time or money to sit down and do it yet, I've got everything ready to go, I just need to bite the bullet and purchase a clutch & flywheel, can't see it happening this side of Christmas but it will definitely be next followed by a remap :-)str400 wrote:Any updates on 6 speed conversion pal?
Would like to know how how involved it is, and a rough idea what it's cost you?

hi it's an optional extra touran rear bench, to make a touran 7 seater, it comes with 4 floor mounts that the seat clicks into and allows quick release removalduffman wrote:How you Build the Bench into the Caddy ?? I will fix it too but i Had no idee

probably all in, I'm looking at £6-700, just depends on whether you purchase a new flywheel/clutch or get a good one with the gearboxkeith wrote:how much do you reckon it costs to do the 6speed conversion?

I've been quiet for a while, got the caddy sitting pretty much how I wanted it, but, when I've been bothered, I've been slowly collecting all the parts for the 6 speed conversion and got the last few bits gathered up last week-

So the van went in this morning for a full service and gearbox change
can't wait to get it back and then start doing some research into remaps... Anyone any ideas on what would be a feasible bhp to go for from 104bhp? I always fancied a map but thought it would be wasted without the 6th gear
Cheers for any tips

Hi Michael
I remapped my 104 to 150bhp big difference done by Autotunes Ballymena, how do you find your conversion to 6 speed?

Looks class mate. bumpers make a big big differance to the look of the van, standard front plant would look better in my opinion.

Cheers Mac (Y)
Got the van back on Friday with the gearbox all finally set up and its running like a dream, so quite in 4th, 5th and 6th should have done this conversion at the very start and I'm getting about an extra 8-10mpg on long runs so all good..
When it was on the ramp getting the box in, I noticed the front two tyres were scrap so next on the list was a trip to Carryduff tyres for some new rubber and a full alignment, running perfect now-

I've got a remap pretty much booked and cruise control waiting to go in after that, just been flat out the last few weeks

I also got the chance to remove the bulk head and fit the crew cab quick release rear seats I'd purchased-
Next on the list tomorrow is electrics-
Front Power window kit-
And finally I managed to source a pair of front fogs for the touran bumper so they're getting wired in this weekend aswell-
So how you mount your rear seats ?
