Sorted my washers, now it doesn’t dump water all over the floor, fitted my LED number plate lights and the connection issue, also sorted my LED DRL and side light issue, and emptied some rubbish out, been not a bad morning all in all

Bloody pipe snapped when doing my rear caliper today. Looking at the parts numbers on LLlParts diagram and there is 2 numbers. I can’t work out which one I need from 2k5611764a or 2k0611764d. Anyone with any help???? Is it to do with brake disc size?

Re: What did you do to your van today?
I replaced the two cab door seals and sliding door seals with new OEM VW seals and, after rain overnight, it appears so far that my water ingress issues into the passenger side footwell have been cured. Fingers crossed.
I'll leave it all stripped out for the rest of the week to keep an eye on it and hopefully all being well I can start refitting the cab interior at the weekend.
The OEM seals weren't cheap but they were definitely worth it. Night and day difference between the new ones and the 18 year old ones I took off.

After more prolonged rain last night the new sliding door seal has sorted the major water ingress issue which is great.kobat79 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 09, 2026 11:43 am I replaced the two cab door seals and sliding door seals with new OEM VW seals and, after rain overnight, it appears so far that my water ingress issues into the passenger side footwell have been cured. However, I'm still getting what I would describe as a "weep" of water inside the passenger side cab door sill, just ahead of the A-pillar. There's a bracket spot welded between the sill and floor pan which is slowly weeping water. I've cleaned out the scuttle area ahead of the windscreen so it's not coming from there. New door seal and door adjusted in the ope.
Only options I can see now are windscreen seal, front bulkhead/firewall, or the external pinch weld on the seam directly underneath this area of the sill was damaged by jacking in the past, partially opening it up, and somehow moisture is wicking itself up by capillary action?!

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Just to update my last post above in case anyone else also has a leak at this point in the passenger footwell. I stumbled across an old post on here from about 5 years ago where someone had a similar leak and it turned out to be from a failed seam in the rear side of the passenger front wheel arch. So I pulled out the wheel arch liner and although there was no obvious sign of any damaged or failed seams, a test with the hose showed water gushing into the passenger footwell from the V where two seam lines meet (circled below).
A liberal application of seam sealer to all seams in the vicinity appears to have sorted it. It's been raining here all day and no signs of any water.

Today I started stripping out the cab to install carpets. While in there and clean I decided to put down some sound deadening. The goal wasn't a nice neat full covering. Just a reasonable covering in there.
Unfortunatley ran out of light, and it started raining. So hopefully finish it tomorrow and get the carpets in.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Spring is finally here in Sweden!
Summer tires were worn and I had to make a call between just replacing the tires on the current rims (VW Passat OEM with clear coat release) or a complete new set.
Found a new set of aftermarket rims and tires for roughly half of. Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric tires and black Carmani rims, 225/45 R18.
Not sure about them yet. What do you think?

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Evening from Perth (Western Australia).
I have been searching the forum if anyone has done a complete interior swap from a 2016 Caddy intto the earlier 2014/15 Caddy interior. As another guy has already previously mentioned we do not get the Tourans in Australia, so we can can only use what we have at hand and the full interior from a 2016 Caddy into a 2014/15 Caddy seems very doable from what I can see. By full interior, I mean dash, centre console, door cards, basically everything, but keep the original electronics from the 2014/15 Caddy such as clocks, BCM, etc.
Be interested to hear thoughts and if anyone has actually don it yet.
