Hi Y'all,

Latest developments,

Engine bay lacquered and started installing the wiring loom threw to the engine compartment, and bulk head bolted back into place. Next to do is to rebuild the stuff behind the dashboard and route the wiring in place. Refit the equipment around the engine compartment and offer up the front subframe/crossmember.........this will take a bit of time to get it right...

Some pics.......

Till next time, Bye

Hi Y'all,

Latest developments are as follows:

so there you go, it does fit after all..........

Still got some bits and pieces to connect up and we'll be ready to fire it up......

Off to get a set of Matt black R32 wheels tomorrow, and i'm thinking about a 2008 Touran front end, but yet to source one yet... hint hint...

anyway next time I hopefully will have had it at least fired up, if thats the case it'll be time to turn my attention to the rear end......this is the difficult bit, not sure just exactly the best approach but will consider everything before actually making that first cut.....

Till then, Bye

Looking good so far! What about a facelifted front with a r32 style grill and bumper sure Matt@reflex could sort you out something :-)

Hi Y'all,

Engine is in and had it 'running' even if it was brief, thats all we need to hear and see for the moment. Still got some bits and pieces to tidy up there but by all accounts its alive. We're going to turn the van round now and concentrate on how best to tackle the back end. I've tried to upload a short video clip of it running, not sure if it will work on here or not.

anyway, until next time, Bye

That's one angry sounding motor!
Please tell me you have planned on fitting an engine torque damper to this! Along with the rest of the standard mounts of course.

Looking forward to seeing this roll out the workshop and embarrass some jap scrap. :D
