Calipers rebuilt and everything ready to install. I got 2 piece floating discs to match the fronts and HEL Carbon Fiber Look hoses for the front and rear.

Hi Imprintx. The HEL hoses are a lot better than the STD hoses I had on which didnt have the rubber sleeves that attach to the brake hose retainer bracket.

Absolutely love this build so much attention to detail on the things behind the scenes , mines a working van but I’m still taking the time to kit it out to the spec it should have been , I’ve also fitted the dual climate system ( although not figured out the air quality sensor yet , I’m currently retrofitting high beam assist (hoping it will work with the factory xenon’s

A question with regards the vehicle data on the mib2 unit , do you need to have the 3d dash cluster for it to work ?

Hi Rickytango, thank you and hope you are enjoying the retrofiffing.

I am not 100% sure but I don't think you need the 3D cluster. Just an update on the MIB unit needed.

Thanks for the reply, I’m finding things quite hard as I’m a couple of years late and it it seems a lot of the files and links to the software updates have been removed ,

How did you get on with the lane assist system , I have it in the family car and it would be a great addition to the caddy

You need to have a MIB STD2 PQ unit and install MIB STD2 Toolbox on your unit to update firmware.

If you are looking to hook up the Air Quality Sensor it gets 3 wires. Pin 1 is power Fuse 16 on fuse holder C, pin 2 is GND and pin 3 goes to the Climatronic Control Unit T20c pin 4.

I have not installed the lane assist system yet, to get the best out of the system I want to do it with a DSG gearbox and right now my van has a manual.

This is for sure one of the craziest builds I’ve ever seen!
Will def be looking in here for inspiration as I start out my own build on my -14 Caddy!

OEM Alltrack wheel arch covers to go on soon. They are thicker and wider than the Van Style ones I had on. Extra pieces needed for the front and rear and bonding or plastic welding needed or maybe a bit of both before painting.

Hi FishermansFriend,

New to the forum here and have just read this whole thread... wow! What an incredible transformation with some exceptional tweaks! I'll definitely be bookmarking your journey as inspiration. Fellow carp angler too, I'm not sure I could allow myself to use your van as a fishing wagon, it's far, far too nice!

Cheers ;)
