Re: Dsg steering wheel
Hi mate, this modification is achievable as I have this setup alas on my 2012 1.6tdi 7 speed dsg. I don't think the number of gear ratios is a problem tbh.
I believe all you will need is the correct steering wheel and if you have access to vcds or know someone your all good as your van supports the latest lin bus system for this retro fit.

Re: Dsg steering wheel
My experience doing this.
Swapped to a DSG Std. Wheel on my Mk4 TSI 1.4 no probs. No coding required for a button set with Mode button.
Same for GTI wheel, R-Type.
Only need to code if it hasn't got the Mode button.
Simple code change to switch off Limiter mode option.
POLO 6C GTI Buttons are illuminated Red if you need to be co-ordinated !
Note: ACC GTI does not work as far as I can tell.

Re: Dsg steering wheel
Getting the Airbag/Horn off is the tricky bit
May be slightly different to Mk3.
2 holes on the back. One wire moves to release 2 clips at once and is a bit of a pain !
There is a How 2 (pretty sure !)
Anything else required depends on what you have already.
MFSW already ? Just adding one with Paddles ?

Upgrading other stuff, then ????
May also need a tiny bit of coding, but I can't remember

Re: Dsg steering wheel
R Steering Wheels with ACC need a module to work !
Spacewalker or other.
