Silver mk4

Post by enk005 »

Hi guys,

This is my build thread although it will be a slow one. Bought the van back in 2021 it’s a 2016 1.6 startline it was a one owner low mileage van. Image

This is how the van looked when I bought it.

And this is how it looks at the moment. Bumpers painted and splitter fitted also has gtd seats and scirocco alloys. I have installed sound deadening and insulation in the back (front yet to be done).

I’ve been collecting a few bits to go on the van.
Polo mfsw (need to work out which scwm will work)
New indicator stalks without cruise
Heater controls with heated seats
Scirocco gauges
Door lights (didn’t realise the how to was for a mk3 so they will be up for sale soon)
Carbon bumper protector
Washer bottle sensor fitted

Coil overs hopefully coming soon.

I did attempt fitting my gauges but wasn't happy so out they came to try again.

Pointing out the obvious, but it’s mental the difference CC bumpers make, especially on silver.

Get some more pics up when you can 👍

Thanks for showing what these startline mk4 bumpers look like painted without factory foglights.
I'm sold, I'm not going down the retro fit fog light route now. Love the cleaner grill look.
They do make a Hugh transformation just a bit of painting can do.
Nice van buddy

Todays job was to install an under tray. it is second hand but I only paid £20 Image
this is from a mk6 golfImage
Image
also managed to get the Touran highline mouldings fittedImage
also fitted some secondary door seals. Not genuine vw I got them from van style only issue was that I needed to heat the double sided tape to help it to stick.Image
Next job is to get some more sound deadening for the cab and fit the the Touran carpets that have been sat in the garage for months.
